At Sultanchic we like to bring out the hidden potential in our vintage finds. In the case of this standout coffee table we decided to marry two different styles together to create something entirely new for a contemporary multicultural audience. The original frame exhibits classic Mid Century Hollywood Regency lines. The hand cut marble top has been wrapped in this Japanese pop art fabric and then encased in three layers of clear hardened resin. Pulling from the fabric we then painted the frame in a rich crimson red reminiscent of traditional Japanese lacquered architecture. The result is a one of a kind artisan piece that is sure to enliven any space!
